Parenting Guidance and Training
Parent/caregiver support/training for concerns (e.g. anxiety, behavior) specific to their child
Service Description
This service is standalone parent/caregiver training and guidance to support parents/caregivers to build their parenting confidence with their child's unique emotions and/or behavior. Parents/caregivers may choose this for a variety of options. Good candidates for this approach are those who feel that their child is too young for individual (telehealth) therapy sessions, parents/caregivers who have their own anxiety (or other) mental health concerns that make it challenging to manage their child's emotions and/or behavior, challenges surrounding parenting through difficult developmental phases, and any other reason parents/caregivers may be looking for standalone support (no contact with the child). This guidance and training can aid a parent to mobilize their own resources to more fully support their child's emotional development. Treatment sessions may be short-term (up to 10 sessions) to longer-term (10+ sessions) depending on the reason for treatment. $225 per session Dr. Dahl does not file insurance claims on behalf of her patients but she can provide the forms necessary for you to file for reimbursement. Dr. Dahl is considered "out of network" for all insurance providers.
